Dr. Kenneth L. Grunden

Early Fall 2014, the Governing Board selected Dr. Kenneth L. Grunden to be the new Principal of Harvest Preparatory School. Previously, Dr. Grunden had been the Headmaster for several Christian Schools in Cincinnati, Open Bible Christian Academy in Kingsville, MD, and Temple Christian School, Lima, Ohio. Ken and his wife have dedicated their lives to Christian service through Christian education. More recently he had been President of Ohio Mid-Western College in Cincinnati.

Dr. Grunden received a Doctor of Religious Education degree from Temple Baptist Seminary in OH, a Master of Education degree from Westminster College, PA, and undergraduate degrees in Education and Business Administration from Youngstown State University, OH. His education experience both public and Christian schools, consists of teaching and certificates in Elementary, Middle School, and Special Education, leadership to Student Teachers, principal/Headmaster for 18 years, and College leadership for 10 years. He also had a business career in Training and Development, Human Resources, and Entrepreneurship and was listed in Who’s Who in Global Business Leaders Worldwide.

Ken’s experience also consists of an overseas ministry and mission assignment in South Korea for six years, teaching and ministering to college students and teachers in public schools. He has shepherded and ministered to Internationals in English Worship Services, a church plant in a Korean church. Ken has many experiences from the Far East that he loves to share.

Training up young men and women of God is an awesome and blessed responsibility which he does not take lightly. The Lord has entrusted him with students to train up and he is accountable to God for them. Founded in love, rooted in the Word, and centered on Christ, all we do and teach is designed to provide children with an excellent academic foundation while preparing them for a life of service to the Lord and others.

Ken’s favorite Bible verse is John 3:15 and Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
