Before and After School Programs

Harvest Preparatory School is pleased to provide parents with a before and after school program, which we call Extended Care. Before school care opens at 7am and after school care is from 2:45pm until 6pm. This service is available at an additional cost and registration is required. Please inquire about the program if you are interested.

ACE Program

Harvest Preparatory School is dedicated to providing every student with the opportunities for the maximum development of his/her potential.  We recognize that this means some students have the capability to academically exceed some of their same age peers and require special programming to meet their full potential.   For this purpose, we have created the Academic Challenge for Excellence (ACE) Program, which services gifted students.

Evaluations are completed for students in the ACE Program, and each student receives a custom education plan suited to their skills and abilities.  The ACE Program services these students through a combination of classroom enrichment, curriculum differentiation, cluster grouping, independent study, curriculum compacting, honors & AP courses, Post Secondary Enrollment Options, early entrance to Kindergarten or First Grade, single subject acceleration, and whole grade acceleration.

Please contact the registrar if your student has been previously identified as Gifted or if you suspect giftedness.  A member of our ACE staff will contact you and schedule appropriate evaluations to craft the best plan for your student.
The National Honor Society (NHS) The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Established in 1921 Established in 1929

The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding high school and middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NHS and NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS). These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929.

Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in activities of the NHS and NJHS. NHS and NJHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. Territories, and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
